New Saab 9-5 Launch App for iPhone and iPad
Saab is supporting the launch of its new, high-tech 9-5 sedan with a free download app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users.
Available at the iTunes apps store, the program includes a video guide to the car’s main technical features, as well as an opportunity to paint it, equip it with a choice of wheels and view the results through a 360º rotation.
“Saab customers and fans throughout the world are avid users of digital communication for instant access and this app is an important element of our innovative launch campaign for the new 9-5 model,” said Johan Grundin, Saab’s Interactive Marketing Manager. “It is designed to give an experience that is second only to actually driving the car.”

We are planning to a SAAB Club day and would be happy if you come all numerous.
The plan provides for up to now the following points.
09:00 Clock A Convoy organized by Gerd to the Saab Centre Dortmund
10:30 clock arrival
11:00 clock brunch with jazz music experience by: two / / and Brunch (For this, we would have to charge about 10 € for the Brunch)
13:00 Clock Presentation of the new Saab 9-5 (if all goes according to plan)
For the evening is a screen available to enjoy at the Finale of the World Cup, and if all goes as planned and no one will get sick, and later on Evening for the Friends of hard rocking music and fast played guitars "Peter Pan Speed Rock "(the name is program) will enter the stage.

The all new Saab 9-5 Saloon signals the start of a new era for the Saab brand. Sleek, sophisticated and unmistakably Saab, it combines stand-out looks with advanced technologies and brings a fresh alternative choice to the premium Saloon segment.
The clean, sculpted shape embraces the purity of Scandinavian design and its dramatic wraparound window graphic echoes Saab’s aviation heritage. With frontal styling inspired by the award-winning Aero X concept car and a muscular, low-slung stance, the all new 9-5 heralds the introduction of a bold, more expressive design language.
The array of high-tech features on offer includes: an aircraft-like head-up information display (HUD); adaptive lighting (Bi-Xenon Smart Beam); adaptive cruise control; DriveSense adaptive chassis with real-time damping control; keyless entry and starting; dual-zone air conditioning; dynamic parking assistance and XWD with electronic LSD, the industry-leading all-wheel-drive system.
The all-turbo powertrain line-up starts at 1.6 litres and carries forward Saab’s rightsizing engine strategy, which focuses on responsible performance through the development of highly efficient and relatively small four cylinder turbo engines. There is a choice of two fuels – petrol and diesel - with diesel power, the all new 9-5 offers CO2 emissions as low as 139 g/km.

Über 30 Jahre nach seiner letzten Teilnahme an einem 24h-Rennen auf dem Nürburgring, tritt Rallyelegende Per Eklund mit einem Saab 900 Turbo 16S beim ADAC 24h-Classic Rennen am 14. Mai auf der Nordschleife an. Der Wagen wird vorbereitet und eingesetzt vom Hamburger Saab-Händler und Nordschleifenkenner Nico Gasparatos.
Normalerweise tritt Per Eklund, einer der erfolgreichsten Rallyepiloten der ´70er und ´80er Jahre, mit seinem rund 650 PS starken Saab 9-3 Turbo 4x4 in der Rallycross Europameisterschaft an. Doch beim diesjährigen 24h-Classic Rennen im Rahmenprogramm des 38. ADAC Zurich 24h-Rennens auf dem Nürburgring, zieht es den 64jährigen Rallycross-Champion von 1999 in ein Cockpit der besonderen Art. „Als ich das Angebot bekam, mit einem
klassischen Saab 900 Turbo auf der Nordschleife antreten zu können, war ich sofort begeistert“, kommentiert der schwedische Rennfahrer seinen unerwarteten Einsatz.
Das Fahrzeug, ein Saab 900 Turbo 16S, aufgebaut nach dem Gruppe A-Reglement, präsentierte sich bei einem ersten Test auf der Strecke im dänischen Padborg bestens vorbereitet. „Ich war überrascht, wie präzise sich der Wagen fahren lässt, vor allem die Leistungsentfaltung des 300PS starken Motors begeistert – wir werden definitiv Spaß haben“, freut sich Per Eklund aufs Rennen am Ring.
Oldtimer- und Saab-Spezialist Nico Gasparatos tritt mit seinem Saab 900 Turbo seit über 10 Jahren erfolgreich in der Youngtimer-Rennszene an und konnte die Zuverlässigkeit des extravaganten Klassikers entscheidend verbessern. Der Saab 900 Turbo 16S ist aus dem Jahr 1984 und verfügt über die üblichen Sicherheitsdetails, wie eine eingeschweißte Sicherheitszelle, einen Sicherheitstank und eine spezielle, der Homologation entsprechende, Bremsanlage.
Besonderes technisches Highlight des Fahrzeugs ist das sogenannte APCSystem, eine elektronische Steuerung des Turbo-Ladedrucks. Das System schützt nicht nur den Motor vor Beschädigung, es sorgt vor allem für kraftvolles Drehmoment. Saab war 1982 der erste Hersteller, der eine aktive Ladedruckregulierung anbieten konnte.
Leistungsdaten: 310 PS bei 6400 U/min, 520 Nm Drehmoment bei 4000 U/min, Höchstgeschwindigkeit: 253 km/h, maximaler Turbo-Ladedruck: 1,6 bar.

Last year a bunch of french fans of the Saab 900 decided to gater in Paris . They 've organized that meeting in an easy way thanks to the SaabSportClub forum and were 37 cars together in the south suburb of Paris .
So this year they purposed to anyone who wanted to join , to meet in Le Bourget , north east of Paris hoping to federate much more people .And it's what's happening actually ! About 105 Saab 900 are going to drive to Le Bourget on Sunday 28th of March .
At this moment we can say that it will be an international meeting with people convoying from UK , Belgium & Switzerland . So to see Saab friends from Germany would be a very nice surprise and we would be very happy top welcome you !!
